2010 Walter J. Jensen Fellowship for French Studies
The recipient of the 2010 Walter J. Jensen Fellowship for French studies is Pamela Diaz.
Diaz (right) is a graduate student at the University of California-Berkeley working in the field of French medieval studies. The title of her dissertation is “Unruly Language in the Roman de Renart.”
The Walter J. Jensen Fellowship for French Studies was established in 2001 at the bequest of Professor Walter J. Jensen. The purpose of the fellowship is to help educators and researchers improve education in standard French language, literature and culture and in the study of standard French in the United States.
The fellowship is awarded annually and has a stipend of at least $10,000 and a single round-trip, economy-class ticket to France.
